Is Counselling right for me?
What type of Counsellor am I?

Counselling is beneficial for anyone seeking support for a variety of reasons. Some common areas are listed above however nothing is off limits, and many can find it easier to talk to a stranger. There is not a one fits all approach to therapy and therefore the way I work with clients is to tailor the therapy to your individual needs. You are in control of where you want to go and the direction you take, as a counsellor I'm there to help you navigate the journey and the process with you.
As an integrative counsellor and therapist I am able to use techniques from a variety of different modalities. These can include conventional talking therapy such as Counselling which uses a Person Centered Approach (PCT), but can also involve Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, taking a more solution focused approach whilst looking at unconventional thinking patterns. Transactional Analysis (TA) focuses on understanding  behavior, personality and communication with others and Psychodynamic Approach (PA) which looks into the unconscious mind and its influence on behavior. I also draw on other modalities as appropriate, including Eco-Therapy (ET) e.g. walk and talk outdoors as well as coaching where necessary and appropriate.
