Counselling and Therapy with Natasha

To little about myself, I am a first generation British born Indian, with ancestral roots from the Northern region of India. Called the Punjab, it has five rivers that run through it and the name Punjab literally means Five Rivers. This connection is the inspiration behind the name of my Private Counselling and Therapy Practice.
I am bilingual, speaking the native language of this region - Punjabi - enabling me to offer sessions for Punjabi speakers, making therapy more accessible.


I have experience working with all types of mental health concerns. I work mainly with adults and young people from 16 years onwards. I have seen a rise in different demographics seeking counselling and therapy, with an increase in the number of male clients and clients' from ethnic backgrounds. It's a great feeling to be a practitioner who embraces individuality, diversity and inclusivity and open up therapy to those that may not have thought it was for them - everyone matters here. 

I offer short term and long term counselling depending on what your needs are.

My approach is professional and relaxed, with a focus on empathy and understanding. I’m dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges and finding your path to being the person you want to be.​ Becoming a counsellor has been a transformative journey for me, allowing me to make a positive impact on my own life and the lives of others. ​​​
 
As a counsellor, my role is not to give you advice or dictate your choices. Instead, I aim to assist you in discovering your own solutions to the challenges you are facing when life begins to feel too difficult. I support you by applying a trauma informed approach, ensuring you are not re-triggered by post trauma, and include solution focused techniques where needed. Together, we can explore your thoughts and feelings, enabling you to make decisions that align with your authentic self and work towards a more fulfilling future.
 
I create a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for you to do this exploration, helping you gain new insights into your past, present, or future. Together, we will discover effective strategies to address the challenges you're facing. Your experiences matter, and I am here to help you in achieving clarity and building resilience around them. Processing those unanswered questions can help you feel lighter and brighter. This allows you to gain a deeper understanding of why you feel the way you do and how you are affected by your experiences. Ultimately, you will be able to develop different coping strategies, which can lead to a happier and healthier version of you.
